Iím a native of Baton Rouge, LA. I was very active as a kid, which translated into varsity baseball and football in high school. My eating habits basically consisted of devouring anything and everything within reach, with little regard for my weight. After college, my activity level dramatically decreased, but my food consumption did not. Before I knew it, my lack of activity helped me pack on a whopping 75lbs. To make matters worse, my doctor recommended that I start taking blood pressure medicine.
I decided to make a serious lifestyle change, and started to exercise and eat healthy. I worked through a few cycles of P90X, and to its credit, I did see nice results. However, I struggled to maintain a consistent exercise regimen and eventually burned out. A few of my friends introduced me to Crossfit, and after a few lengthy question and answer sessions, I pulled the trigger and joined a box in March of 2013. My first few workout absolutely destroyed me, but I was immediately hooked!
Iíve been fortunate to have had excellent coaches along the way, and the more time I spent at the box, the greater my desire to shift towards coaching became. I continually work to improve my technique in the various aspects of Crossfit, so that I can help other athletes reach their potential.
