When I first started CrossFit, in April of 2011, it was because I wanted to look like a CrossFitter. Then I was introduced to the concept of “virtuosity.” The definition of Virtuosity (at least in CrossFit circles) is “to perform the common, uncommonly well.”
For me, this was a life-changing way of approaching my life. One that I strive to carry over into my work, relationships, and every single WOD I do.
My goal as a coach is to help athletes achieve virtuosity in everything from the most basic movements to the most complex… To help them become as proud of their perfectly performed air squats as they are of their perfectly performed Olympic lifts.
And from there I hope they strive to carry it over into the other aspects of their life.
